FAQs
How long does training take?
Flight training is a rewarding challenge that demands dedication and consistent effort. To ensure optimal skill development and maintain cockpit proficiency, we recommend students complete three lessons weekly. This regular schedule allows most students to achieve their certification within 1-1.5 years.
For those with more flexible schedules or time constraints, we offer accelerated training programs that can be completed in just 6-9 months. These intensive options provide the same thorough instruction while significantly reducing your time to certification.
How much does training cost?
Flight Training Expenses
Your training investment is divided into two essential components:
Instructor Fees
Expert guidance and personalized instruction at $65 per hour throughout your training journey.
Aircraft Rental
We offer two training aircraft options:
Cessna 172: $110 per hour dry (non-block rate)
Cessna 150: $70 per hour dry (non-block rate)
Save on Your Training: Purchase block hours for any aircraft in advance to reduce your overall hourly costs.

What aircraft are available?
The iconic Cessna C172. World renown in the flight training community as the best training aircraft.
What type of instruction do you provide?
We offer Part 61 training only. I favor this style of training because of the ability it gives me to customize the training to the students’ needs to ensure they quickly progress through their training. Another reason I favor Part 61 training, it is typically cheaper due to the large amounts of solo time needed to satisfy the FAA eligibility requirement.
What is the difference between Part 61 and Part 141?
Scroll back to the header and sign up for a free copy of the Flight School Handbook. We made this e-book to help educates prospective flight students on how to go about the process of selecting a flight school, this question is covered in the book.
How does scheduling work?
Students submit their availability the prior to the week of training. We then craft a schedule based on their progress in the training syllabus. That information is then placed onto our scheduling website to eliminate the need for unnecessary communication.
How does the ground school work?
To respect your time and save you money, we partner with Gold Seal ground school - the premier online aviation education platform. This allows you to complete essential instruction from the comfort of your home, with unlimited access to videos, flash cards, and quizzes for review without incurring additional instructor fees.
The ground school curriculum is structured in stages, each concluding with a required stage check conducted by your instructor via Google Meet. Throughout your training, you're welcome to request personalized ground instruction sessions whenever you need additional support. We put you in control of these supplementary sessions, empowering you to manage both your learning pace and budget effectively.
Do you provide financing?
While we don't offer direct financing, we can guide you toward excellent funding options. We recommend exploring aviation-specific loans through AOPA or connecting with local credit unions, both of which specialize in flight training financing and typically offer favorable personal lines of credit with competitive terms.
